Spotting the Pattern

If you have identified the belief that was created by your first money memory, great.  If not I would invite you to take a few minutes and check out last weeks post to find that memory and the belief it created.

 

Let’s stick with the memory of losing money as our example.  Perhaps the belief created in that moment was that you are not responsible enough + you always lose money, maybe you believe you lose everything that is important. Do you see that pattern show up today?

 

Do you lose your keys, your wallet, your tax receipts?

How we do anything is how we do everything

If it is showing up in one area of your life chances are it is showing up everywhere. That is how patterns work.

 

The irony is… the belief – “I lose things” – is creating the pattern of losing things, which is reinforcing the belief.  What a cagey little brain you have huh?

 

Here is the great news. Changing the belief will cause a change in the pattern. What if your new belief is that you take care of everything that really matters.  How would your life be different from today forward? What have you got to lose by giving it a shot?

For the next week I would invite you to begin each day by saying the new belief out load.  Fair warning; it might feel completely ridiculous, that’s OK, no one is watching but you. Whether you know it or not you are already starting every day by telling yourself the old belief, from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to bed.  All you are doing is becoming aware of the belief and adjusting it to serve you instead of being a slave to it.

 

If you see no improvement, which is almost impossible BTW, you can always go back to the old belief.  Beliefs are one of those things in life that will always take you back, the question is, does the belief deserve you or serve you anymore?
